Our friend Joanna made a fantastic video to show everyone what we saw happen during the South and North tour of the Medical Ship!
We thought we might post this so you could have a look at what happened…
There’s a pretty good shot of Nick manning the sound desk and myself performing.
It was a blast and all to bring life to the people of Australia and Papua New Guinea. Enjoy!
As you may have read in some of our previous posts our centre is gearing up to bring in a ship next year that will provide medical aid to the people of Papua New Guinea. One of our tasks in our media department was to come up with a video that would give people an overall picture of what we’re trying to accomplish and how they can be involved. I’ve mainly been working on the motion graphics to make everything look snazzy and fun. The video is geared towards an Australian audience. Here’s a first look at the video:
While we were in Thailand with the School of Music in Missions from YWAM (Youth With A Mission) we had the opportunity to celebrate Songkron which is the Thai New Year festival. They celebrate by throwing water on anyone and everyone who passes by. This goes on for about three days. We had to be extra careful to pack our phones and cameras in plastic. Since we were foreigners we seemed to be an especially prized target to soak. Check out the video below:
Even on outreach we take a day off once a week. A few weeks ago we spent that day at the Murphy’s farm. Jenny and Sam Murphy are staff at Reef to Outback and we’ve known them for quite a while, so it was nice to see where they grew up. They generously shared with us the things they do for fun such as ‘Paddock Bashing’ and ‘Bonnet Riding’. Check out the video:
Sara and Nick are crazy missionaries in the land of kangaroos, vegemite, and hot Christmases. They’ve been working with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) since 2004. They don’t receive a salary for what they do and rely on wonderful people, like yourself, to live and do ministry in the land they call Oz. RTO (Reef to Outback), the YWAM centre Nick and Sara work at, has a large focus on Australian youth and the people of Papua New Guniea.
